Pyotr I. MaiorovPyotr Ilyich Maiorov was born July, 1914, in the village of Perekopnaya in the Saratov region. He began his studies of Russian paintings at the Technological College in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. In 1935 he entered the Samarkand Art College, graduating in 1939. In 1939 he entered the army and served until the end of the war. After the war ended Pyotr I. Maiorov returned to Samarkand and became a member of the Artist's Union of Uzbekistan. From 1948 to 1954 he studied oil painting at the Kharkov Art Institute. After graduating from the institute he was assigned to work in the ciyt of Chernigov. In 1956 he moved to Voronezh, where he married a doctor, unfortunately they didn't have children. In 1967 he became a member of the Artist's Union of the USSR.
