Fyodor Pavlovich ZvonarevFyodor P. Zvonarev was born in the outskirts of Voronezh, Russia, in 1929. He remembers always wanting to be an artist. Like many artists in that city, he started his art career by working at the Voronezh Theater, then moving on to studies in Yeltsei and in St. Petersburg. After graduation he moved to Lipetsk, where he worked as an artist for the musical theater. Soon, however, spending most of his time on designs for the theater tired him. He yearned to leave the theater in order to work exclusively as an easel painter, which in 1961 he did.
