Vasili V. Belopolski was born in Voronezh in 1912 and was active in painting Russian and Soviet Art in Voronezh, Russia. He studied under the artist Aleksandr A. Buchkuri who was the best known artist in the Voronezh region and throughout Russia during the 1930's. Aleksandr Buchkuri and his wife were killed fleeing from the germans in WWII. During the 1950's Vasili V. Belopolski worked closely with Mikhail Likachev and actually taught him. Mikhail Likachev is a People's Artist of Voronezh, Russia. Vasili V. Belopolski's works have recently been released for sale by his family and are in collections throughout Europe and the USA.
